I purchased both items, JWL16441 1ct Five Row Diamond Bracelet and JWL13034 Shimmering Stars Diamond Teardrop Necklace at a decent price, but when they arrived I realized I was ripped off. The bracelet in particular came in a horrible box and look like a piece I can buy from the local 99 cent store; the pendant was better packed and actually looked better.

However, you can tell even without knowing much about the topic that these items are very cheap jewelry. Perhaps their more expensive items are better, but so far I DO NOT recommend these guys.

Reason of review: Bad quality.

Monetary Loss: $110.

Preferred solution: Use better packing for jewelry ... they way the use it now looks cheap..

Location: Astoria, New York

A friend of mine bought this exact bracelet and I felt bad that she clearly got duped but must not know much about jewelry to have bought it in the first place. If a gemstone is not set in precious metal, it is most certainly not very valuable.

A jeweler would NOT set good stones in a junk setting. The bracelet is made of brass, a very obvious sign to most knowledgeable folks that it is utter junk and it is. The diamonds are NOT clear, are in fact opaque white and probably not even good enough grade for a drill bit. Please do some research before buying jewelry to understand what would make a stone valuable so you don't get ripped off.

Color, cut and clarity matter in a diamond and you won't get good quality stones for a low price unless you are buying second-hand jewelry. That is the only way I know to save money on diamonds. However, you will still need to have some knowledge of gems to be sure you are not getting ripped off. If you are buying second had, perhaps meet the person at a trusted local jeweler to have them examine the piece before you buy it from them.

And definitely don't expect to get a good deal at cheesy websites like Super Jeweler or places like Home Shopping Network.

In my experience, they mostly sell junk. At least HSN lets you return stuff though but I don't know about Super Jeweler.
